Located in eastern Spain, in the centre of the Region of Valencia and on the shores of the Mediterranean. The capital is the city of Valencia, which is also the regional capital. Its rich artistic and historic heritage includes particularly the Silk Exchange, with the World Heritage designation, and the ground-breaking City of Arts and Sciences. The city is also the scene of the spectacular Fallas midsummer bonfire festival, declared a Festivity of International Tourist Interest.

ALCOSSEBRE
Alcossebre on the Costa del Azahar is sandwiched between the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra de Irta mountain range. The town is laid out below the Sierra de Irta, enjoying 10 kilometres of beach and sand dunes. It’s a beautiful place to visit. The nature reserve of Sierra de Irta is an excellent location for ramblers who are rewarded with spectacular views and scenery. There are 10 kilometres of coastline to enjoy in the area around Alcossebre. Las Fuentes beach is the most visited and aptly named, Las Fuentes (The Source), where fresh water emerges and joins the sea.

CALPE
Calpe has a wonderful mixture of old Valencian culture and modern tourist facilities. It is a great base from which to explore the local area or enjoy the many local beaches. Calpe alone has three of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the coast. Calpe is dominated by the towering rock of Ifach which reaches an impressive 332m. The ancient town centre, next to the Moorish quarter is a good place to start sightseeing.

PENISCOLA
Peniscola or Peñiscola often referred to as the Gibraltar of Valencia lies in the province of Castellon on the Mediterranean Sea. It is a fortified seaport built on a rocky headland attached to the mainland and rest of the town by a narrow strip of land. Peniscola has sumptuous beaches, the finest of which is the north beach.

DENIA
Denia is a delightful cosmopolitan town with 20 kilometres of sandy beaches and rocky coves making it an ideal place for family beach holidays. The city has well preserved ancient walls and bastions. From the hilltop esplanade there is an excellent view of the town and its surrounding countryside. Denia ofers a variety of water sports, including: sailing, windsurfing, diving, fishing, rowing, and swimming. There are many welcoming restaurants along the promenade facing the marina.

GANDIA
Gandia is the second largest city in the province of Valencia nestled on the Costa del Azahar. It has been a hotspot for Spanish tourists (mainly from Madrid) for years, but is becoming more popular with foreign visitors as its charms become better known. Gandia is separated into Gandia City and Gandia Playa (Gandia Beach). Whilst the old town is the beating heart of the area, with its historical sites of interest, fantastic shopping, parks and boulevards, Gandia Playa is a tourist resort area. With its diversity of old and new, from slow paced retreat to action packed holiday; it’s not hard to see why the Spanish have kept Gandia a closely guarded secret for such a long time.
